Create Denver is looking for workshop presenters and exhibitors for the upcoming 7th Annual Create Denver Expo,Saturday, May 12th, 10am-4pm at the Colorado Convention Center. The Expo is a day-long program that provides creative individuals and businesses a one-stop resource opportunity that can help stabilize creative businesses and plan for the future. Workshops are led by experts in the fields of marketing, business planning, finance, media relations, legal issues, as well as business support in music, film, public art, fine art and more. COMBO’s president, Barb Dye, is offering a workshop on Artist and Band Management on Saturday, Feb. 11, 1-4pmat the COMBO office at 1490 Lafayette Street. The workshop is aimed at the aspiring manager or solo performer, and will include information on copyrighting songs, registering a name, landing gigs, promotion, roadies to management, tour set-up, contract negotiation, and more.
