About Us

Denver Public Art University, a project of the nonprofit Denver Art Society, is protecting the rights of all students to
  • free arts education with hands-on facilitation taught by local community teachers,
  • a safe space for peaceful self-expression and uncensored personal creativity, and
  • easily accessible public domain learning and research materials.
By organizing creative communities, we bring hands-on education to students that have no access to the arts. For example, our first free art school in downtown Denver brings local students together with local teaching volunteers for free after-school and Saturday classes.

Today, we are actively standing up for the rights of students everywhere to have access to free arts education, uncensored self-expression, and active community engagement.
